These fluctuate in their approaching of activity ( 0 â⬠5 min ) and duration of the square ( 15 â⬠200 min ) . There are various sorts and signifiers of nearby sedatives utilized, including infusion ( invasion sedation ) , shower and pick ( topical sedation ) . A delineation of this is nearby sedative utilized for dental mediation. Eutectic blend of nearby sedatives ( EMLA ) pick is a topical signifier of neighborhood sedatives ( lidocaine + prilocaine ) . Time bound of 1 hr is because of the awkwardness brought about by the applied pressure gauze on the operable appendage, which is going on if the procedure kept going past 1 hr. Another limitation of this kind of sedation is the insufficiency of postoperative absense of pain, as the close wears off not long after the arrival of pressure wrap. Foundational harmfulness of nearby sedative ( CNS poisonousness ) is the main difficulty of this procedure, in spite of the fact that it is extremely uncommon ; primarily because of a too much free pressure gauzes or to the disappointment of gear ( accidental pressure wrap emptying ) . This method is straightforward, simple to larn and execute, and extremely protected if large dosages of nearby sedatives are evaded and cautious checking of tourniquet power per unit region is guaranteed, alongside quick handiness of revival supplies. In spinal sedation, a little entirety of neighborhood sedative ( for example bupivacaine ) is infused into the cerebrospinal liquid ( CSF ) in subarachnoid limitless, at lumbar vertebral between space L3/L4 or L4/L5, and causes lost esthesis of the lower natural structure. The square is typically accomplished in a couple proceedingss and halting focuses for a couple of hours. Spinal sedation gives five star careful sedation and it favored method for most patients as they remain wakeful during the activity, so they can talk, ask, and tune in to music. It other than gives great absense of pain in the couple of hours following medical procedure, less medications utilized, higher fulfillment, and lower death rate ( in patients who had Cesarean region ) [ 26, 27 ] . In extradural square, a major volume of nearby sedative is infused through a catheter set in the extradural ( epidural ) interminable, only before piercing the dura and come ining the subarachnoid limitless. The approaching of activity and the duration of the came about square of this method are longer than that of spinal sedation. The extradural catheter is utilized to let a continuous removal of neighborhood sedative ( either, separate or surpass up boluses ) for postoperative absense of pain for quite a long time or even yearss. Fringe nervus square ( PNB ) is one of the techniques for local sedation that is utilized to chop down harming and let for careful processs. PNB is a method which can be utilized to blockade a particular nation, for example, one pes, or one arm, by infusion of the neighborhood sedative around the nervousnesss, doing the operable nation feel snoozing thus the patient feels no stinging. A Comparison Of Coleridgeââ¬â¢S Rationalism To W Essay Example For Students
A Comparison Of Coleridgeââ¬â¢S Rationalism To W Essay ordsworthââ¬â¢S LiberalismAll friendships grow and nurture each other through time. The friendship between Coleridge and Wordsworth allowed for a special relationship of both criticism and admiration to develop. As their friendship matured, they would play important roles in each otherââ¬â¢s works, culminating in their joint publication of Lyrical Ballads, which is said to mark the beginning of the Romantic period and be a combination of their best works. Despite their basic differences in poetic styles and philosophical beliefs, they would help each other create numerous works renown for their depth and creativity. Coleridge was a reserved dreamer, a true poet from the beginning. He was an eccentric young boy who found solace in the intellectual requirements of school. However, he did not have the discipline to continue through school, and eventually dropped out of Jesus College, Cambridge. Coleridge lived in dependence of his friends, clinging to them for support this explains the almost reverent attitude Coleridge held towards Wordsworth. The relationship they shared grew strongly from 1797 through late 1802, until Coleridge, as a result of an addiction to an opium-based drug and his decaying health, alienated himself from Wordsworth and his friends. Under these conditions, Coleridge would move into the second phase of his life, characterized by prolific writings and philosophical reflection. During this time he reflected upon his life and reconciled with his friends. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is recognized as Coleridgeââ¬â¢s most influential poem; appropriately being one he published in Lyrical Ballads. The main theme of the poem concerns the actions a Mariner took and their consequences. However, an analysis of the poem reveals the imagination applied to create the poem and also the logic employed. The poem is broken into seven parts, but these parts can be characterized into the Marinerââ¬â¢s three main stages of realization concerning morality. Reflecting his Christian beliefs and strong philosophical ideals from the study of Kant, Coleridge incorporates the possibility of an afterlife, images of saints and angels and also the importance of moral behavior. Including these themes into his poetry leads us to believe he had a fascination with the more obscure aspects of life. The religious inclinations play an important role in determining the three stages of the Marinerââ¬â¢s rationale. The first stage consists of the first 2 parts of the poem. This is the period where the Mariner is oblivious to the spiritual aspect and importance of the Albatrossââ¬â¢ life, which symbolizes hope and good fortune to the travelers. Coleridge, by advice from Wordsworth, would have the Mariner kill the Albatross, brining misfortune to him and the travelers. From this point on the Mariner and his crew suffer as a result of his carelessness. This is also a prime example of Coleridgeââ¬â¢s demonic poetry, where he would break through his personal and moral fears through the use of immoral characters. Another example of his rationalism can be seen here. Requiring an outlet for his burdened conscious, he creates characters that are moral failures through which he copes with his moral dilemmas. The third stage takes place after part 5 when the Mariner is absolved by the Spirits, the boat is sent back on course and the Mariner continues to teach the love people should hold for all of Godââ¬â¢s creations by his example. Coleridge is criticized for the way he ends the poem though. He changes the direction the poem seems to be taking, making it confusing for the reader to interpret his desired message. In the scene describing the Spirits attack on the ship, Coleridge wrote:Four times fifty living men,(And I heard nor sigh nor groan)With heavy lump, a lifeless lump,They dropped down one by one. (212-215)symbolizing the ruthlessness with which the Spirits kill his crew. Here Coleridge portrays God as a merciless god. Utilitarianism And Euthanasia Essay Coleridge in turn inspired Wordsworth. In the poem We Are Seven, along with a few other poems, Wordsworth is seen changing his conception of death to that of Coleridgeââ¬â¢s; one more final and rigid. Both poets use their talents to give the reader and understanding of how deep his own sense of reality is. At times, Coleridge would help Wordsworth finish his poems, interjecting his more ââ¬Å"down to earthâ⬠style of writing to make his seem less unbelievable. The pinnacle of their combined poetic effort can be seen in the dual publication of Lyrical Ballads. A combination of both poetsââ¬â¢ works, this book brings into focus more of their similarities. As more poems are compared, it can be understood that both poets had a fascination with death and misfortune. It is clearly seen in both the poems mentioned earlier, but also in other poems. Wordsworthââ¬â¢s The Thorn deals with the withering of a thorn and its comparison to a beautiful hill showing the age-old comparison of youth and age. As for Coleridge, he deals with the theme of death in Misfortune. Both poets are also intrigued by the imagination of people. They explicitly use the theme of imagination and its relation to memory in Coleridgeââ¬â¢s Kubla Khan and Wordsworthââ¬â¢s The Prelude. Wordsworth and Coleridge are two poets that deserve recognition for their literary talent. Taking into account the few, yet substantial differences between them, it can be said that they are more alike than not. The literary styles used are at opposite ends of a long spectrum yet they seem to compliment each otherââ¬â¢s work so well it becomes difficult to establish where the lines are drawn. Both poets had the same goal when writing their poetry, and that is what brings them together more than anything else. Is Moral Behavoir Necessary for Happiness Essay Example
Is Moral Behavoir Necessary for Happiness? Essay For this essay this paper will be discussing the subject of moral behaviour and if it is necessary for happiness. The view that this paper will reflect and focus on is that ââ¬Å"moralâ⬠behaviour is not absolutely necessary to be happy. To fully comprehend the topic in question we must look at the definitions of morality and happiness. Moral behaviour is subjective in the sense that what may seem right to one person may not seem right to another. Happiness is also entirely subjective due to the fact that what can make one or some people happy might not be the case for others. Examples will be given to demonstrate the fact that moral behaviour is not necessary for happiness. To be blunt the matter of the fact is that there are many people out there who have not acted ââ¬Å"morallyâ⬠in the slightest and yet are very happy in their lives. When we think or speak about morals we automatically think about right and wrong. Oxford dictionary defines morality as: principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong. Moral badness consists in doing everything for oneââ¬â¢s own sake, moral goodness in acting for the sake of the noble, i. . for the sake of others and without paying attention to oneââ¬â¢s own interests. (Aristotleââ¬â¢s theory of moral insights; p. 38) So moral behaviour simply put is doing the right thing that will benefit others over you. This being said, what people see as the ââ¬Å"rightâ⬠thing to do is completely subjective. Meaning that for example what you may see as right, might not seem right to another person. This is dependant on the person, in terms of their personality, the way they were brought up, as well as how they think. It is a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction that can last for any amount of time, from a minute to a year to your entire life. In the case of this essay though, most likely it is referring to oneââ¬â¢s entire life span. Happiness can come from any aspect of a personââ¬â¢s life from their work accomplishments, to something of the recreational sort. Happiness if it is possible is even more subjective than morality. Suffice to say happiness is a reaction, so basically one becomes happy after they have done or received something. There is the odd occasion of a person who is happy for no reason. Like morality though, the personââ¬â¢s personality, upbringing, and thinking all have an effect on what will make them happy. A simple example of this: Bob and Mary and brought up in two different homes, environments, with different family values. Now as teenagers Mary finds it a drag to look for and have a job, where as Bob gets satisfaction out of working because it is apart of his upbringing. When talking about if moral behaviour is necessary for happiness, one must think about how it affects society vs. the person. ââ¬Å"If there are no consequences to ââ¬Å"immoral behaviour,â⬠then there is no motivational pressure for morality. â⬠this quote by Plato can be viewed as the fact that if there were no consequences, there would be much more ââ¬Å"immoralâ⬠behaviour because it is simply easier to do. In a study of the human nature done by it has been proven that humans like to take the easier root. Immoral behaviour is exactly that the easier root, which in turn makes it immoral in one way or another. To put it plainly there are many people out there who have acted immorally and yet are happy to this very day with their lives. In conclusion, it is not necessary to behave morally to achieve happiness. With morality and happiness being as subjective as they are, especially in the world we live in today with all this greed, immoral behaviour will seem much more appealing to the average person. This is due to the fact that ââ¬Å"immoralâ⬠actions can create a shorter and quicker path towards instant gratification inducing happiness in a person. You know what they say; you donââ¬â¢t have to be perfect to be happy! http://findarticles. com/p/articles/mi_m2248/is_n122_v31/ai_18435720/ http://plato. stanford. edu/entries/kant-moral/#Oth http://books. google. ca/books? id=oj83D7aBgKMCpg=PA94dq=moral+behaviour+and+happinesshl=enei=tFK2TNfNKs2PnwfXmNT8Dgsa=Xoi=book_resultct=resultresnum=1ved=0CCsQ6AEwAA#v=onepageqf=true

Free Essays on Division and Classification Paper Free Essays on Division and Classification Paper Computer is no longer something new and magical to many people nowadays, because many families now have at least one computer in their homes. It is without doubt that there are thousands and millions of computer users in the country, but is it ever possible for all of them to explain how a computer works? No. Alright, can they even classify the components of a computer appropriately? Not quite. They may know how to describe the physical appearance of a computer and they will probably include two or three other terms as well, such as monitor, keyboard or a mouse. Nonetheless, classification of a computer should not be done this way. In fact, a computer can be broken down into three distinct categories, namely output, input and CPU. The term 'output' consists of all components that display words and graphics so that a person can see them. Blockbuster Organizational Failure Research Paper
Blockbuster Organizational Failure - Research Paper Example At the same time, it also created numerous challenges in the market place regarding competitiveness, innovativeness as well as sustainability, which has greatly influenced company sustainability in many sectors. Focused on a similar notion, this paper will entail critical analyzes regarding the failure of Blockbuster LLC, which was formerly recognized as Blockbuster Inc. Overview of Blockbuster Organization Blockbuster is a global retail chain, which offers a vivid array of video games, home movie and rental services for DVDs and VCDs at reasonable price to its discriminating global customers. Besides, the organization is also dedicated to provide its customers with adequate product choices and unique purchasing experiences. Currently, Blockbuster is operating with more than 2,500 retail stores spread worldwide. Being an American MNC, the company owns its maximum number of retail stores in the US, apart from Europe, Asia and Australia. The primary objectives of the company over the y ears have been to provide a world class entertainment experience to the consumers with a vivid assortment of movie and game genres, serving to around 90 million people all around the world (Blockbuster, 2013). Irrespective of its success since its establishment, with the increasing pressure of competition in the global platform, the company had to witness a decline in its revenue structure. It was in the year 2010 that the organization filed for bankruptcy and was consequently acquired by Dish Network (Almeida, 2011). Analysis of the Organizational Failure Factors In order to analyze the reasons behind the failure of Blockbuster, the following subject areas will be taken into consideration, which shall be helpful to obtain an in-depth understanding of the role played by various external and internal business environment factors to secure the sustainability of a company in the long-run. Competitive Advantage According to Michael E. Porter (2008) competitive advantage is a strategy of gaining benefit over competitors by offering customers high value through reasonable price, good product quality, product variety, innovativeness as along with other value added services (Porter, 2008). In the current phenomenon, competitive advantages are not only necessary to assist a company in obtaining larger market share, greater profit and brand value, but it is also necessary to assure long-term leadership position of the company, in the modern era. However, when studying the incident of Blockbusterââ¬â¢s failure, it can be observed that the most significant aspect of competitive advantage is to guarantee the sustenance of a company, apart from the aforementioned benefits. It is in this context that apparently, due to its business model limitations, Blockbuster was in a competitively disadvantageous position. The industry context can be accounted as responsible in this regard, to a large extent. The current market structure of the entertainment industry tends to be highl y volatile, where both the suppliers and the customers possess high degree of bargaining power, majorly due to the availability of close substitutes. Additionally, with frequent occurrences of forward and backward acquisition and mergers, Blockbuster also had to witness the threat of new entrants. Hence, given the limitations of the business model followed by the organization in terms of ill fit with external environmental changes, rigidness to adapt innovative ideas and cost as well as time intensive characteristic, the organization failed to preserve its

The Problems Of The Women In Current World Essay
The Problems Of The Women In Current World - Essay Example Research has been done on the present situation of the wage gap in the US in the last decade and the improvements made in the last 30 to 40 after the enforcement of equal wages acts and the womenââ¬â¢s movement in mid 20th century. Women are still considered as second-grade custody workers in various job sectors. A decade ago in the US, the women were still being paid low as compared to the men for the same job that they were doing. Women caretakers and cleaners have a salary widely disparate from that of men and all because of gender difference. A salary gap of 8000 US dollars separated the womenââ¬â¢s yearly income (22000 US Dollars) form the menââ¬â¢s yearly income (30000 US Dollars). (Barko 1) Even after 5 decades since the enforcement of the Equal Payment Act of 1963, American women earned 74 cents for every dollar earned by men, according to the study published jointly by the AFL-CIO and The Institute for Womenââ¬â¢s Policy Research (IWPR), Washington (Barko 1). An increase in the wages of women task force employed across different industry sectors and in different categories would bring more than 50 % of low-income dual-earner and single-mother households above the poverty line. The recent study has challenged the age-old argument of lesser industry experience, childbearing time off and child rearing time off supporting the low income of women stating that 43 % of wage gap remains unexplained. After the industrial revolution in the late 19th and early 20th century, many new fields of work emerged and the professional world witnessed a boom. New posts were created, new organizations came into existence and new business lines became viable profit-making options.

Good Marriage Essay Example for Free
Good Marriage Essay Jim went down to the kitchen where the smell of good food beckons him. He smiled to himself, pleased to note that his wife is cooking his favorite food. Theyve been together for twenty-five years, their kids are all grown up. Yet Ana hasnt forgotten that he likes Thai cooking, slightly spicy and rich with seasoning. He saw his wife adding cut green pepper on the diced meat that is frying on the stove. Ana turned around and saw him standing in the doorway. She bade him sit down while she finishes her cooking. Instead of sitting down, Jim went to the cupboard to get plates and utensils for their meal. The couple has always find ways to please and help each other, a practice they have kept over the years. 2. A good marriage is characterized by husband and wifes delight in a give and take relationship. There is mutual respect for each other. Husband and wife helps each other in decision-makings, the raising of children, and doing tasks. They both take care of each other and notes what are the likes and dislikes of each party. In a good marriage, the man and wife are both happy in their decision to be with each other for the rest of their lives. That commitment is reaffirmed time and again despite difficulties and trials. In a good marriage, there is laughter and conversation. Both husband and wife will always find things to talk about, and have the time to listen to each other. 3. Looking at Jim and Anas lives, their twenty-five years of marriage has not always been a bed of roses. Ana is scrupulously neat, while Jim is a little scatter-brained. Ana keeps a list of things that needs to be done and does them in an organized and timely manner. She likes getting an early start, eating breakfast and finishing work ahead of time. Jim has a tendency to oversleep in the morning, getting up really late on weekends, and spending half of the day sleeping during 2 vacations. He hates putting anything on his stomach before eleven in the morning and likes to work late at night. Ana would sometimes find Jim deeply asleep after she had her bath and breakfast on a day when theyre supposed to go to the dentist. At a time when Ana likes to get an early start, while Jim wasnt complying, shed often get bad-tempered and a little quarrel would ensue. These little quarrels didnt get out of hand because both of them are capable of stepping back and releasing anger. More importantly, Jim and Ana avoid bringing up past issues during arguments. They stick to whats at hand and settle them without resorting to foul language and by properly expressing their sentiments and criticisms in a constructive manner. 4. A good marriage is not just about seeing the good side of a person. Its about knowing his or her little habits that may or may not turn out to be annoying. Each party has to accept the totality of the other person and learn to adjust and adapt. In a good marriage, the couple must not try to change each other. Instead, they must try to meet in the middle and compromise. In a good marriage, the couple dont start running away when things become a little complicated and difficult. 5. A good marriage, simply defined, is comprised of the good and bad things. There are times to laugh, to talk, to argue, and to make up. It is characterized by a lasting friendship where trust and responsibility go hand and hand. Meeting halfway and speaking up are necessary elements to make the relationship endure. Both parties must work hard and stick it out with one another through thick and thin. Husband and wife must selflessly think of each others welfare particularly when there are major issues to face and settle. Its very important to do things together and to go away on vacations to recapture the moments when you both fall in love with each other.

Mozart Essay -- essays research papers
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart This paper discusses Mozart's life, his compositions and his importance to the world and the world of music. It explains how Mozart's music is still some of the most popular classical music played today and his life is still studied because his music is so well known and liked. An Austrian composer and performer who showed astonishing precocity as a child and was an adult virtuoso, musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born to Leopold Mozart and Anna Maria Pertl in Salzburg, Austria on January 27, 1756. Leopold Mozart was a successful composer and violinist and served as assistant concertmaster at the Salzburg court. Mozart and his older sister Maria Anna "Nannerl" were the couple's only surviving children and their musical education began at a very young age. The archbishop of the Salzburg court, Sigismund von Schrattenbach was very supportive of the Mozart children's remarkable activities. By the time Mozart was five years old, he began composing minuets. The next year, he and his sister were taken to Munich and Vienna to play a series of concert tours. Both children played the harpsichord, but Mozart had also mastered the violin. In 1763, when Mozart was seven years old, his father took leave of his position at the Salzburg court to take the family on an extended concert tour of western Europe. Mozart and his sister performed in the major musical centers, including Stuttgart, Mannheim, Mainz, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, London, and Amsterdam. They did not return to Salzburg until 1766. During this time, Mozart continued to compose, completing his first symphony at age nine and publishing his first sonatas the same year. Leopold soon realized that he could make a substantial income by showcasing his son as a Wunderkind in the courts of Europe. Maria Anna was a talented pianist, and Mozart wrote a number of piano pieces, in particular duets and pieces for two pianos, to play with her. On one occasion when Mozart became ill, Leopold expressed more concern over the loss of income than over Mozart himself. The cold weather and constant travel may have contributed to his later illness. After spending less than a year in Salzburg, the family again departed for Vienna, where Mozart completed his first opera La finta semplice in 1768. Much to Leopold's frustration, the opera was not per... ... concertos, 23 string quartets, 35 violin sonatas, and more than 50 symphonies. Major composers since Mozart's time have worshipped or been in awe of Mozart. Beethoven told his pupil Ries that he (Beethoven) would never be able to think of a melody as great as that of the first movement of Mozart's 24th piano concerto, and did Mozart homage by writing variations on his themes (such as the two sets of Variations for Cello and Piano on themes from Mozart's Magic Flute) and cadenzas to several of the piano concerti, most notably the Concerto No. 20 (K. 466). (After their only meeting, Mozart noted that Beethoven would "give the world something to talk about.") Tchaikovsky wrote his Mozartiana in praise of him; and Mahler died with "Mozart" the last word on his lips. The music critic James Svejda, when filling out a job application that asked for his religion, entered "Mozart". Summary: His Christian name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. His progress as a composer was amazing; by the age of 13 he had written concertos, sonatas, symphonies, a German operetta, Bastien und Bastienne, and an Italian opera buffa, La finta semplice

Diet Pills
Despite the reported side effects in using diet pills its claim continues to be high because many people are eager to take the risk, drug manufacturers have the liability to make the medical community and give alertness to the public the possible side effects of the drugs they create. Due to the hectic life that every people have both men and women who got that curiosity about the shape and size of their bodies, roughly everyone wanted to have a body that would always be a head turner to the opposite sex.The development of our generation admires and adores slimmer bodies, but due to the great impact of advertisement of the producers on diet pills some of them turn to use diet pills instead of sticking to regular exercise and balance diet, such weight loss pills are thought to have stimulants that work like caffeine, which gave the body an effect to raised energy levels and decreases appetite devoid of exercise and deprive anyone who take it from food craving. When a person starts usin g diet pills to try to lose weight, from this person is considered to start to perform an unhealthy weight management which can result to indistinct body image and low self respect which later on will lead to drug abuse. Before attempting to use any diet pills on the market extreme, caution should always be considered before using them, it is true that a little weight will be lost upon using them but the pounds will come back once its usage stop, in the time it is used there should also be a small print recommendation to espouse a little calorie diet and an exercise program. It is more annoying that diet pills have possible unsafe side effects. Before going through the medication the consumer should check with their physicians before using any type of weight loss supplement, but those people who are sure of their health have experienced negative side effects from diet pills. It is also important to consider reading the brand for the active ingredient and make sure on the source of th eir claims and whether they are potentially risky. One of the latest trends in weight loss is the use of carb blockers it contains amylase inhibitors the product is carb-blocking pills, this pills contains molecules of amylase an enzyme produced by the body that functions to break down carbohydrates. It has agreed with theory that carbohydrates should be broken down if not it will be absorbed and will supply calories in the body. Its side effects if carbohydrates are undigested will be diarrhea, gas and bloating. Diet pills works on the side of those brand that is made out of research by manufacturers who made it and spend enough time to have it tested before passing it to the consumers, these producers wanted to make the business more stable and profitable even it takes them a longer time to have their investment returned. But on the case of those diet pills manufacturers, who wanted just to have the profit without the effort, advertise and attract the people to buy the kind of produc t they endorse not putting into consideration if it will be effective or not and will affect the credibility of the brand of other diet pills that take a hard time making their names in the market. This means that a particular diet pills are known to be a scam depends on the credibility of its producers because if they include fraud into their business it is the whole image of any kind and brand that is affected not only the particular product that has committed the scam. Research has proven that any kind of drugs when ingested in the body always has its own advantage and disadvantages and diet pills are not an exception to this, therefore it is accepted that any drug could have it side effects especially when it is not well studied and given enough time to know its effect on humans. The perception of every person on the effect of any diet pills that she used varies from one person to another, that is also one of the reason why such drugs can either give a positive or negative effect on a person it is how on the psychological side that it was accepted which is agreed by the metabolism of the body. Now, we could draw the fact that despite the disadvantages that the diet pills produces and the scam that the other manufacturers have made, still lots of people never stop from using such drugs because it is still the easiest way to lose weight compared to the traditional process that are being used.A research in University of Minnesota has been conducted using 2,500 teen age females for 5 years period of time. Study shows that the use of diet pills among high school girls almost doubled from 7. 5% to 14. 2%. The age of teen age girls that uses diet pills ranges from 19 to 20 years old meaning 20% of females had used diet pills. This study proves that more and more woman is already convincing in using diet pills despite its announced disadvantages.

Essay on the Difference Between Appearance and Reality
Is the First Impression Always Right? When I am asked about my hobbies, I usually say that my main hobby is to prove that appearance is different from reality. And although I sometimes find it difficult and tiresome, deep down I still enjoy it immensely. I first faced the problem of being judged according to my appearance, but not my abilities, when I was four years old and wanted to learn ballet dance. My mom took me to the dancing studio, but the teacher did not seem very eager to accept me. I was a plump girl who looked slightly clumsy and not a bit graceful. However, I begged her so much that she simply could not refuse. In fifteen years she confessed that she had never been so mistaken in her life. My inner desire was so strong that it helped me to succeed, and I even considered the possibility to pursue a dancing career. When I was sixteen, I had two tattoos made and had my eyebrow and my lip pierced. Unfortunately, about the same time I had to change my school as my family had moved to a different city. It goes without saying that the day I appeared in a new school, I was labeled a ââ¬Å"difficult kidâ⬠. During the next two months my academic achievements were met with lots of raised eyebrows. But I truly enjoyed the opportunity to prove again that appearance can be very deceptive. The way a person looks is nothing but a combination of some physical characteristics with some image he/she wants to produce. The reality will lie far behind the facade and in order to get to know who the person really is, you will have to spend a lot of time communicating and getting to know each other.
